We would like to take this opportunity to explain. Serious symptoms : If a person has serious symptoms or is very sick, he or she should go to the Emergency Room. You should not go to the Emergency Room for testing if you are not seriously ill. Mild symptoms : For mild and moderate symptoms, call your primary care physician. Exposure to COVID-19 positive person and no symptoms: People who are not exhibiting symptoms, but have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should quarantine at home for 14 days since the last day of exposure to the COVID-19 ill patient. COVID-19 testing is available after day 5 to 7 as this can help guide additional contacts at risk. Please note you cannot test your way out of the 14 day quarantine if your COVID-19 test is negative during this interval. No exposure and no symptoms : People who are not exhibiting symptoms and have not been in exposed to COVID-19, but need testing for travel or return-to-work, should use testing sites like pharmacies or county testing sites rather than Abington – Jefferson Health testing sites.
